The Legends Who Defined Our Club's Legacy

Ironvale legends posing together on the ice

Look up at any home game and you will see them: three numbers hanging from the rafters, three careers that turned a small-town club into national champions.

Number 7 — The Captain of the Treble

He lifted all three trophies in the spring of 2018 and handed the "C" to Marcus Hale with a note that simply read: "Louder than me." His number was the first retired in club history, and his pre-game lap around the rink is still reenacted by kids at every open skate.

Number 1 — The Playoff Wall

Before Jonas Weber, there was the original playoff wall: a goaltender who posted back-to-back shutouts in the 2018 finals and never allowed more than two goals in any elimination game he ever played. His old mask sits in the arena museum, repainted every season by academy kids.

"Legends are not the ones with the most talent. They are the ones who made everyone around them braver. That is what those numbers mean."

— Martin Cole, Head Coach

Number 19 — The Hometown Sniper

Born three streets from the rink, scorer of the treble-clinching overtime goal, and still a regular in the south stand. When young wingers like Ryan Calloway talk about who they watched growing up, it is always number 19.

Their era ended. Their standard didn't — it hangs above every practice, in navy and white, reminding this young roster what Ironvale expects.
